I really liked this book when I took my Voice class in Graduate school for Speech Pathology. It is easier to read than most books. We also bought Voice Therapy for Case Studies to go with it and I liked it as well to help put everything in perspective!
This is a phenomenal resource for voice teachers and speech pathologists. I would caution you that this a very technical book, so background in vocal pedagogy/scientific voice study is a must if this book is going to be useful for you.
Encyclopedic in its content and organization. Prosaic in its style and readability. Hard covered, sturdily bound, with waxed pages.(And btw, I'm just another SLP graduate student)

This text contains a lot of good information, but I dislike how it is organized. The writing could be made more clear, as well; I know it is a textbook, but it seems like it would not be too difficult to make the information less dry.
Some chapters in this textbook are not edited as well as others. In some chapters (6 in particular), the syntactical mistakes are quite distracting and detract from the subject matter presented.
