This Risk Management Handbook for Healthcare is absolutely awesome! It is professionally technical yet readable and I use it often. As a Quality Performance Improvement professional, the book is very helpful in describing the Risk Management perspective, impact, expectations, interaction with other disciplines and provides important information regarding how to be successful in the field. This is a worthwhile investment that I highly recommend!
I like that the book is easy to understand and that I don't have to have a dictionary next to me in order to read through the chapters. I uses everyday language that any healthcare professional would understand.
This is a text for a Risk management class I am taking , it is a bit difficult to follow ,but this is the required text. I found there is a lot of redundant information just in the first chapter, not sure what the remainder will have.
I purchased this book because it was assigned reading for a graduate-level class. Unfortunately, it seemed to have been written at a much lower level. I am thinking I should have purchased the three-volume edition instead of the student edition.I would not recommend this book unless you need something at the absolute beginner level for Risk Management.
This text book does an excellent job of discussing risk exposures of health care organizations. It does a great job of crystallizing concepts via "Key Concepts" table, as well as, "Key Terms" and "Acronyms" list at chapters' end.
It was frustrating throughout the entire class that I was taking and needed this book for, that the Index was not updated when the book last was updated. Please update the index in the back to sync up to the rest of the book.The content of the book was very helpful.
Excellent companion to my Risk Manager course. Right on target. Renting the book was awesome and I was pleased with the service.
