My husband asked for a basic electricity book for Christmas. I read a lot of reviews and thought this one would be the best one for a beginner. In my opinion, this book is for someone who already has some knowledge on the subject. It's probably a fine book, just not what I expected.

This book is confusing. I have found several errors that I've checked with my boss. It also will refer to diagrams that are several pages away. I am intermediate in these skills but many of the chapters are over my head. I plan to find an easier-to-read text first, then try this one again.

This is an excellent introduction to electricity. I couldn't decide whether to become an electrical engineer, an electrical technician, or an electrician. This book manages to cover basic concepts in all three fields. It is a great introduction to electricity. There are some spelling errors and typos, but I'm still giving it five stars because to me it is invaluable.

I'm using this manual in order to study for my ham license. Referred to it extensively while studying for Interior CommunicationElectrician rate exams. While serving on nuclear subs this manual originated countless quals questions for every nuke sailor on board. Was in use a lot in "A" schools in the 60's and in the fleet overall.Glad I was able to obtain a copy.

I do not consider myself a beginner or an expert in electricity, however, this book is very good for anyone's skills level. Absolutely the best book on the subject. It needs a little more details about symbols thats about it.

I've only just received this book so only had time to skim through it but so far I've been very impressed with the amount of theory that it covers. The first chapter on safety is so thorough that I actually sat there and read it from start to finish! I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the book in the weeks to come.

Using for a class of limited technical capability. This book is written in very easy to understand terms and has worked out well.
