I liked the book very much. The way it is written is great, you go through the story quickly. When you laid it down, because you need to do other things, you want to get back to the book, to read the rest of the story. I liked it to learn more about the west and about mail order brides. Maybe there is some fiction in it all, but still I guess it gives a good idea how life was back then.
I was a little disappointed that JUNE wasn't as hilarious as FAITH. However, it still has the quality you will expect from Lori Copeland. It is a story of trusting God, even when things don't quite go as you planned. JUNE is a well-written love story that will be hard to put down till you've read it all.
I have read the other 2 books in this series and I enjoyed all three. June was the best of the three. I am not one that reads a book in a day but when I put it aside for a day or two it is like I have a friend waiting for me to come back. June was a really good read.
Maybe these stories are about love. It was better expressed in this time-frame rather than the way it is now. That is part of the reasons I love reading about this era of time. Again faith and obedience are included. It reaffirms my trust and faith in God. I love the way this author writes
This book was pretty good. I got a little irritated reading the words 'tabernacle' 'Parker Sentell' and 'Reverend Inman' about 1000 times each. As you can imagine, it was a bit repetative. The storyline was pretty basic- tragedy, boy meets girl, girl teaches boy, boy teaches girl , boy loves girl but won't let her know, girl leaves, boy goes after girl. And of course, your basic happy ending. But all in all it was a very decent book. If you are looking for a clean read, here it is.
Great book! I love this whole series and wish there were more! They are funny, intense, and entertaining! So glad I have them in my collection!! Highly recommend this book and the others in this series...a true "can't put down"!!
I love this book. I had a hard time putting it down. Kept me wanting more. Now I have gone on and read Faith and Hope. All very good. I love the authors writings. Looking for more books by her. I love Amish religious romance.
This series by Lori Copeland was enjoyable, but not the kind of books I would see myself reading over again several times. I may revisit the characters again. I think I have more of a frustration with the inconsistencies of each character's past.
